Smoking bans are becoming common all over the world these days. It's no longer PC to be a smoker. I am sure most companies and governments are working on bans to increase revenue from non smokers. Of course, in some cases this may mean less business from actual smokers. Personally, I can go a few rounds of bingo without smoking, but I guess some people can't. Online casual gaming continues to boom and will make it tougher for brick and mortar companies to thrive in this technology age. I use the internet as much as anyone, but also believe that replacing public social interaction with only online interaction may have some bad cultural effects in the future.
A new survey, published by online gaming group St Minver, has revealed that 63% of bingo players, who are also smokers, would spend an increased amount of time playing Internet Bingo when the smoking ban comes into force on July 1.
The results of the survey, which questioned 3,000 bingo players, will no doubt strengthen online Bingo?s already flourishing position in the iGaming market, with thousands of sites operating in the UK alone.
